Sample Application Tour

The Sydney Jabiru Flying School is an ultralight flying school based at Hoxton Park in Western Sydney. Robin learnt to fly here in a Jabiru, a fantastic Australian designed/manufactured two place light aircraft.

Robin started to build a web site to help with the promotion of the school in September 2001. Being a nit-picking software engineer, he started building a rudimentary content management system based on ideas he had developed while building a Spectra site for BHP Steel. One thing led to another and he ended up spending more time on the CMS than the site, and instead of building a web site with a simple content management system he ended up designing a flexible content management framework and creating a sample application. Both the framework itself and the sample application have changed a lot over the years, but we've stuck with using the flying school as an example business.
